What we are looking for:
We are seeking experienced Electrical Tradespeople for various FIFO/DIDO projects based out of Perth WA.
We are happy to pay ABOVE MARKET RATES for experienced candidates.
What you will do in this role:
Electricians (General Duties)
- Install, terminate, and test electrical cabling and equipment
- Carry out commercial and industrial electrical installations
- Perform maintenance and breakdown fault finding on electrical systems
- Install and maintain switchboards, distribution boards, and circuits
- Conduct testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and plans
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards and site requirements
- Complete isolation, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures
- Work safely in accordance with site safety policies and procedures
- Complete required documentation, reports, and permits
Special Class Electrician (Advanced / High-Level Duties)
- Perform complex fault finding on industrial electrical and control systems
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot PLCs and automated systems
- Carry out instrumentation installation, calibration, and fault diagnosis
- Work on high voltage (HV) equipment, switching, and isolation (if authorised)
- Execute hazardous area (EEHA) installations and inspections (if qualified)
- Lead commissioning activities for plant, equipment, and shutdown projects
- Interpret and modify complex electrical and control schematics
- Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and apprentices
- Perform advanced testing and diagnostics on plant and equipment
- Ensure compliance with site-specific standards, engineering specs, and QA requirements
Candidates with experience doing any of the below are highly sought after:
Electrician
- Demonstrated experience in commercial, construction, or industrial electrical environments
- Proven ability to carry out installations, maintenance, and fault finding on electrical systems
- Experience with switchboards, cabling, and general electrical fit-outs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning processes
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance (AS/NZS)
- Experience working on construction sites or within mining/civil environments (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Special Class Electrician
- Extensive experience in industrial, mining, or heavy commercial environments
- Advanced fault finding experience on complex electrical and control systems
- Proven experience with PLCs, automation systems, and motor control circuits
- Experience in commissioning, shutdowns, and major project work
- Strong background in instrumentation and/or process control systems (highly desirable)
- Experience working with high voltage (HV) systems and switching (if applicable)
- Hazardous area (EEHA) experience in oil & gas or mining environments (desirable)
- Ability to interpret and modify complex electrical and control schematics
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience (leading hands, mentoring apprentices)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in critical environments
What you need:
To be considered for this role you must obtain/have the following:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820)
- Current WA ‘A-Grade’ Electrical Worker’s Licence (or equivalent)
- Current White Card (Construction Induction)
- CPR/LVR certification (within 12 months)
- Working at Heights (within 2 years)
- Confined Space Entry & Gas Test Atmosphere (within 2 years)
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
